Travel Outpatient Physical Therapist Acute​/Swing Bed Coverage

Access Healthcare is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a travel job in Delhi, New York.

Patient Care Setting:
 Primarily outpatient physical therapy, with occasional inpatient coverage for acute care and
swing bed (rehab) settings.
 Outpatient experience is preferred.
Shift and

Schedule:

 Day shift, Monday through Friday.
 8-hour shifts with a 30-minute unpaid lunch (per New York State labor law).
 Occasionally scheduled Saturday coverage.
Patient Population and Case Types:
 General Outpatient:
o Pre- or post-operative orthopedic conditions (e.g., joint replacements, rotator cuff
injuries, acute orthopedic injuries).
o Chronic conditions (e.g., arthritis, chronic pain, balance issues).
o Neurological conditions (e.g., CVA, TBI, Parkinson’s Disease).
o Sports-related injuries.
 Inpatient (occasional):
o Acute care and swing bed rehabilitation cases.
Specializations:
 No specific specialty required.
Case Volume:
 15 patient slots per 8-hour day (30 minutes each).
 1-hour slots allotted for new patient evaluations.
Technology and Treatment Modalities:
 EMR System:
Epic (workstations on wheels available for point-of-service documentation).
 Treatment Modalities:
o Ultrasound, electrical stimulation, Saunder’s mechanical traction, paraffin therapy.
o Equipment includes treadmills, stationary bikes, and upper body ergometers (UBE).

Certifications

Required:

 Active New York State Physical Therapy License.
 Current BLS certification.

Preferred Experience:

 Outpatient physical therapy experience.
