Rehabilitation Specialist‑Therapist – Behavioral Health – Per‑Diem

We are seeking a Rehabilitation Specialist/Therapist to provide functional assessments and therapeutic group therapy programming, working within a multidisciplinary team on inpatient units.

• Provide functional assessments and develop therapeutic group therapy programming.
• Coordinate group leaders to offer a broad range of group therapy experiences.
• Mentor interns throughout the year.
• Work within the per‑diem shift schedule (two weekdays, two weekend days, 8‑12 days per month).

• License in Mental Health Counseling (LMHC), Creative Arts Therapy (LCAT), Occupational Therapy (OTRL) or related field such as Music Therapy.
• Master’s Degree.

• Knowledge of dual diagnosis, principles and practices of 12‑step programs, and application of psychosocial rehabilitation.
• Knowledge of psychiatric/behavioural health conditions and application of psychosocial rehabilitation and community re‑entry principles.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.

Salary: $45.00/Hourly

All roles require on‑site presence; employees must live within commutable distance to NYP. NYP will not reimburse travel expenses.
