Location: New York

Located in the heart of the community of Washington Heights in Northern Manhattan, this 705-bed rehabilitation and nursing care facility is dedicated to providing quality care through diverse programs and services designed to support health and independence for individuals requiring short-stay or long-term inpatient care.

Responsibilities include providing respiratory care for residents who are ventilator-dependent or have other pulmonary needs, including weaning, under the direction of the Pulmonologist.

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduate of an AMA-approved program for respiratory therapy (1-year program)

Appropriate experience in all aspects of respiratory care

NY State Department of Education License as a Respiratory Therapist Technician

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRTT)

Current BCLS certification

Computer skills sufficient to use Excel, Outlook, CPOE, touchscreen, EMAR, ETAR, etc.

Knowledge and application of clinical practice guidelines and best practices
