Child Support Professional – 00349 (CRS
020) – Sat‑Sun 8AM‑4PM
Well Life Network invites an experienced Child Support Professional to join the Community Residence Program team. The role focuses on creating a safe, structured and therapeutic environment for children and adolescents with serious emotional disturbances. The professional reports to the Program Supervisor/Social Worker and the Program Director.
OverviewAs a Child Support Professional you will provide individualized supervision, therapeutic support, skill development and help residents achieve independence and prepare for the future. You will model positive behaviors, maintain a therapeutic milieu, and engage families in recovery and reunification.
Key Responsibilities- Individualized Care & Supervision – Offer tailored supervision and ensure resident safety and well‑being.
- Skill Development & Therapeutic Support – Use strength‑based techniques, teach daily living skills and maintain an emotional growth environment.
- Household Management – Coach residents in cleaning, laundry, shopping, meal planning and routine duties.
- Service Planning & Trauma‑Informed Care – Participate in service plan development and apply trauma‑sensitive practices.
- Transportation & Community Engagement – Escort residents to appointments and activities, provide supervision and transportation.
- Counseling & Behavioral Support – Offer formal and informal counseling, assist with behavior management and crisis intervention.
- Documentation & Reporting – Complete required documentation, report incidents and maintain compliance with program standards.
- Organizational Commitment – Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and special events such as the Family Bonds retreat.
- High school diploma or equivalent – required; associate’s degree in human services or related field preferred.
- Experience working with children who have emotional or behavioral challenges – preferred.
- Valid New York State driver’s license – required.
