Pay Rate: $16.50

• Safely transport residents via wheelchair, stretcher, or walking assistance
• Maintain clear communication with nursing, therapy, and administrative staff
• Ensure transport equipment is clean, functional, and properly stored
• Follow all safety protocols and infection control procedures
• Provide compassionate, respectful support to residents during transport

• The Transporter reports to either the Director of Recreation or the Director of Rehabilitation
• Follows direction from direct supervisor to maintain the transporting needs of the residents
• Must notify or document direct supervisor of any resident’s absence or refusal of scheduled services
• Other defined job duties that ensure the safety of the residents
• Other defined duties called upon in an emergency

• High School Graduate or equivalent
• Ability to learn on the job
• Ability to work with a variety of disabilities and personalities
• Previous experience in a healthcare or customer service setting (preferred)
• Ability to lift, push, and maneuver residents and equipment safely
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• CPR and first aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
