Specimen Technician I – Manhattan, NY

Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM

Join Quest Diagnostics as a Specimen Technician I to support a Fortune 500 organization in delivering critical diagnostic information. This position involves specimen processing, data entry, and coordination of samples to the laboratory.

Pay range: $18.00 – $26.41 per hour. Employees may receive a 10% shift differential for second‑shift hours or 15% for third‑shift hours. Additional details will be provided upon offer. Salary offers consider skills, training, experience, education, certifications, market, and organizational factors, and successful candidates may be eligible for an annual performance bonus.

• Data entry of test orders.
• Presort, pickup, and delivery of processed specimens to the laboratory.
• Centrifugation and aliquoting of specimens.
• Preparation of laboratory specimens for various analyses and testing.
• Identification and resolution of specimen-related issues, such as missing information.
• Understanding the relationship between ordered tests and received specimens.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No experience required; previous production or medical environment experience preferred.
• Flexibility to work majority of hours on the night shift, with potential weekend, holiday, on‑call, and overtime work as staffing needs dictate.
