Phlebotomist I - East Aurora, NY
Monday to Friday, 5:15 AM – 1:45 PM, with rotational weekends

Pay range: $18.05 – $19.95 / hour

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams, etc.)
• Administer oral solutions as trained
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab technology systems, client contact and approved tools
• Navigate a computer and accurately enter data—required
• Obtain identification, enter billing information, and collect payments when required in accordance with corporate policies
• Process specimens (label, centrifuge, aliquot, freeze, prepare for transport)
• Perform non‑patient‑facing duties: inventory, stock supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, and using email
• Read, understand and comply with departmental policies, protocols and procedures
• Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data when required
• Maintain phlebotomy logs (maintenance logs, temperature logs) timely and per required frequency
• Complete online and in‑person training courses on time

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada and Washington
• One year phlebotomy experience preferred
• Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred
• Keyboard/data entry experience required
• Ability to effectively communicate in English
