* Location:

Queens, NY
******** Hours/Days: 5 8.5 Hour Shifts;
Monday - Friday (between 7:30am-6:00pm)
******** Organization:
New York Health (NYH)- Urology
******** In this role, you will:****
* **** Manage patient intakes, ensuring accurate information recording.****
* **** Collect and process lab specimens, including venipuncture and diagnostic tests.****
* **** Record patients' vital signs.****
* **** Prepare patients for examinations.****
* **** Sterilize medical equipment and instruments.****
* **** Assist providers and other support staff in the data entry process.****
* **** Assist physicians during visits with examinations and all office procedures.****
* **** Perform EKGs and point-of-care testing.****
* **** Other duties as assigned.
******** We require:****
* **** A Medical Assistant Certificate and a High School Diploma****
* **** Bilingual in English and Spanish (Preferred)****
* **** Proficiency with an EMR system (Preferred)****
* **** Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, standing, bending and reaching****
* **** Knowledge of standard precautions and the ability to utilize appropriate PPE when handling blood borne pathogens and bodily fluids****
* **** Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.****
* **** Reliable transportation to travel to NYH locations for patient care needs****
* **** Must be willing and able to float throughout our Queens locations
