COMMUNITY PSYCHIATRY AT JANIAN MEDICAL CARE
Janian Medical Care, P.C., seeks a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner for a full-time or part-time position as Attending Psychiatric Provider in New York City. For over 30 years, Janian has been a leader in developing and implementing person-centered, community-based psychiatric care for New Yorkers with the lived experience of homelessness. The psychiatric provider is an integrated member of the multidisciplinary team who works to
:
- Identify and engage people in need of psychiatric evaluation and treatment
- Provide psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy
- Support recovery goals
- Advocate for patients
- Participate in weekly clinical meetings with other providers
- Implement population health interventions
- Conduct diagnostic interviews and provide psychiatric evaluations
- Develop and deliver trainings
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), licensed and registered to practice in New York State. Must have a National Certification in Nurse Practitioner Specialty-Adult Psychiatry/Mental Health within six (6) months from date of hire
- Proficient in the use of electronic medical records
