Position SummaryNovellis Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Mammography Technologist to perform high-quality mammographic imaging for screening and diagnostic purposes. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, attention to detail, and a patient-focused approach to care. This role is fully onsite at our Brooklyn location.
Key Responsibilities- Perform mammographic imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders and regulatory standards.
- Position patients safely and effectively to ensure comfort and optimal image quality.
- Operate and maintain mammography equipment, ensuring proper function and cleanliness.
- Review and verify patient information, imaging protocols, and exam requisitions.
- Collaborate with radiologists and medical staff to support accurate image interpretation and reporting.
- Maintain required documentation, quality assurance records, and compliance with FDA and MQSA regulations.
- Educate and reassure patients throughout the imaging process, addressing questions and concerns with professionalism.
- Monitor inventory of imaging supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
- ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and Mammography (M) required.
- Valid New York State Radiologic Technologist license required.
- Minimum 1 year of mammography experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical training will be considered.
- Knowledge of MQSA, ACR guidelines, and radiation safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a small team environment.
- Strong patient care orientation and attention to detail.
