Residence Manager (NY)
The Center for Family Support Inc.
The Residence Manager will oversee the daily operation of the assigned residence, including direct supervision of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), ensuring individuals receive quality supports, managing budget, and overseeing day‑to‑day operations and systems critical to the program’s smooth running.
Responsibilities- Coordinate, implement, and evaluate individual program plans while maintaining records in compliance with OPWDD and state/federal regulations.
- Hire, train, and supervise DSPs in the completion of job responsibilities.
- Orient and evaluate residential staff, manage progressive discipline and staff development while maintaining confidentiality of records.
- Implement all policies, procedures, and programs of the facility and CFS in accordance with OPWDD regulations and guidelines.
- Participate in and review all team, interdisciplinary, individual service plan, and clinical meetings.
- Attend agency standing committee meetings, training, and assigned activities outside the residence.
- Ensure timely submission of required paperwork, including payroll, Residents Habitability forms, Incident Reports/Investigations, etc., using Manager’s Weekly Report to monitor systems.
- Maintain the residence physical plant to meet regulatory requirements.
- Ensure all staff complete mandatory training (e.g., SCIP, AMAP, CPR/First Aid, Corporate Compliance, Choking Prevention) in a timely manner.
- Model and perform all aspects of individuals’ program plans, ensuring staff understand and implement each plan using a person‑centered approach.
- Be on call to respond to emergencies, incidents, safety hazards, and staffing issues.
- Facilitate communications with day programs and related work sites to enhance comprehensive case management.
- Review daily Therap documents, including checklists, t‑logs, and medical information, and address issues promptly.
- Conduct record reviews to ensure compliance and identify potential problems, communicating findings to the Assistant Director, Director, MSC, BIS, etc.
- Develop and maintain relationships with family members/advocates and address concerns as they arise.
- Adjust work schedule and location based on departmental needs.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Health and Human Services or a related field preferred.
- Three or more years’ experience in the field of developmental disabilities, with at least one year of program supervision experience.
USD $66,500.00 – $68,000.00 per year
