Blythedale Children's Hospital is seeking a Full‑Time Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) to join our team. Primary responsibilities will be on our school‑age and brain‑injury unit. The ideal CTRS candidate is compassionate and skilled at assessing the unique recreational needs of infants, children, and teens with medical complexities.
Schedule:
Tues‑Sat (Tues‑Fri 11:30a‑7:30p with evening differential; Sat 9:30a‑5:30p) with availability for two holidays (premium pay).
- Plan and implement appropriate recreational activities for both individual and group programming.
- Minimum one year of experience working with a pediatric population.
- Bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation (or related field).
- CTRS certification (or eligible for certification within six months of start date).
- Ability to physically restrain or move patients in an emergency.
- Ability to roll patients in wheelchairs, stretchers, and alongside patient equipment.
