About Achievement Behavior Services (ABS):
We are an agency that was founded ten years ago, in 2015, by the joint efforts of dedicated BCBAs and LCSWs. We have a successful history of supporting children with a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their families with direct, in-home/in-community ABA therapeutic services. Our approach uses the principles and practices of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to mentor and support these children towards increasing their communication, adaptability, resilience, and independence.

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) - Personalized Training and Supervision from a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:30–5:30/6 PM (family is flexible)
Location: Lindenhurst, NY 11757
In the role of a Behavior Technician, you will:Work directly, one-on-one, with the child in their natural, home environment. You will be supported by a lead, board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA) while you move through the individualized Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) that was designed to help the student experience increased success in communication, focus, and positively adapting behaviors.
Daily Expectations of a Behavior Technician:- Engage in rapport building and apply creativity to help a student more effectively communicate their needs, wants, and feelings
- Measure, assess, and document skill acquisition and student progress on the BIP
- Provide 1:1 goal-oriented, in-home direct services using ABA approaches such as discrete trial teaching, prompting, modeling, redirection, reinforcements, and reward systems
- Complete thorough and accurate documentation, data analysis, and billing each session
- Actively engage with clinical direction and professional feedback from BCBA supervisor(s)
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with clients/students, caregivers, supervisors, and coworkers
- Relevant areas of study:
Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, Occupational Therapy, Speech Language Pathology - Preferred:
Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certificate from the BACB - Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to adapt and make decisions under pressure
- Reliable, punctual, and responsive
- Experience working with preschool and elementary-aged children
- Experience supporting individuals with autism and developmental needs
- Proficient in documenting data and aligning with individualized treatment plans
- Personable, compassionate, and intuitive
- Comfortable engaging in both structured and creative play-based learning
