  • Pay Rate: $19.85–21.80/hr
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM;
    Alternate Saturdays 8:00 AM–12:00 PM

Job Summary: The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative (PSR II) creates a professional, patient-centered experience while collecting high-quality blood specimens and supporting clinical operations. This role requires strong phlebotomy skills, excellent customer service, accuracy in documentation, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and interact with patients professionally while assisting with blood collection for routine or diagnostic testing.
  • Draw quality blood specimens and prepare samples for laboratory analysis following clinical and forensic collection best practices.
  • Explain procedures clearly to patients, maintaining trust and comfort throughout the process.
  • Verify patient demographic information and obtain signatures post-venipuncture to confirm labeling accuracy.
  • Maintain required logs, records, and operational documentation.
  • Perform daily assigned tasks with accuracy and timeliness under supervisor direction.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant clinical environment.
  • Demonstrate organizational commitment, professionalism, and quality service delivery.
  • Support multiple Patient Service Centers and in-office phlebotomy locations as needed.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while managing high-volume workloads.
  • Adhere to all company Policies & Procedures, including Dress Code and Safety Standards.
  • Communicate clearly and transparently with supervisors, peers, and patients.
  • Participate in training at varying locations as required.
Required Experience
  • Three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
  • Ability to provide accurate, error-free work
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume setting
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (rideshare/bus not accepted)
Nice-to-Have Experience
  • Two years in a Patient Service Center environment
  • Customer service experience in retail or service-based environments
  • Keyboard/data-entry experience
  • Experience covering multiple clinical locations
Required Skills
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills across all age groups
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Ability to handle fast-paced clinical workflows
Preferred Skills
  • Phlebotomy certification (preferred; not required in NY)
  • Medical assistant or paramedic training
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
