Job Summary:

Counselor (CASAC) Addiction Fellow for the Department of Psychiatry. The program aims to train fellows in addiction treatment fundamentals, including assessment of Substance Use Disorders (SUDs), development of treatment plans, and counseling (individual and group). Fellows will learn to assess and diagnose SUDs, understand inpatient and outpatient treatment modalities, and utilize community services. Training includes various treatment approaches such as CBT, MI, DBT, among others.

By the end of the fellowship, fellows will be capable of functioning independently as an Addiction Counselor/Therapist in an SUD treatment setting.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Fellows will work towards CASAC-T certification and are expected to fulfill CASAC-T requirements.

Additional Expectations:

• MH Masters & SWK Masters:
  Obtain a limited permit and CASAC P.
• Bachelor prepared Human Services:
  Obtain CASAC P or CASAC T.

Salary Range: G5: $20.48 - $34.22 per hour. Salary is based on skills, experience, and qualifications. The pay band was corrected to G5 on 5/12/25.
