Job SummaryThe Providence Center Women's Road to Recovery Residential Assistant provides addiction treatment and mental health services to help women regain control of their lives and live healthy, without drugs or alcohol. Our programs inspire women to realize their strengths and make positive changes for themselves and their families. Programs focus on both mental health and addiction issues, including the unique challenges women in recovery face.
Dutiesand Responsibilities
- The Residential Assistant will perform, coordinate and monitor the daily non-clinical operations of the program.
- Provide orientation of clients into the community.
- Conduct tour of the facility and make introductions.
- Problem solve and provide other support to clients as needed; serve as a role‑model; assist in new client admissions.
- Review rules and regulations, issue linens, assign bedrooms, sign appropriate releases, gather birth certificates and social security cards, etc.
- Maintain cooperative relationships with clients, other employees and the public.
- Attend trainings, case presentations and conferences.
- Other duties as assigned or required.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Advanced education preferred.
- Experience working with a substance abuse population is strongly preferred.
- A candidate must have at least 4 years in recovery, if applicable.
- Must have valid driver's license, registration, current inspection and insured automobile.
