Location: Town of Islip
Licensed Clinician MH (55547) – Phoenix House
Licensed Clinician reports to the Program Director or Program Clinical Director and, in coordination with other program staff, provides direct clinical services (i.e. counseling, social work, family therapy, mental health) to patients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Assists clinical staff in the development of treatment plans, ensuring that such plans address all facets of a patient's treatment – mental health, substance abuse, and education.
- Conducts interdisciplinary case conference once a week.
- Conducts workshops and individual or group therapy sessions as needed, in conjunction with other clinical staff.
- Works with counselors in developing individual treatment plans and helps maintain positive working relationships.
- Works with counselors to ensure that patients receive information and referrals regarding appropriate post-treatment services during the aftercare phase of the program.
- Is responsible for overseeing and coordinating overall patient case management, including interface with applicable state and local social services agencies, school administrators and teachers, and community-based providers of services, as needed, for patients.

- Independent license issued by NYS
- Minimum two years of experience working in the Mental Health Field
- Bilingual preferred
- This job operates in an indoor office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.
- Regularly required to sit, use hands to type, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch and lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
Location:
Syosset, NY. Salary: $60,000–$65,000.
