Provides surveillance for infection control purposes. Identifies, investigates, and records data concerning nosocomial infections and infectious diseases. Initiates infection control measures as directed by the infection control committee. Develops infection control policies and prevention programs.
Responsibilities- Investigates and monitors known or potential sources of suspected infections to determine source and ensure control.
- Provides staff training and education.
- Maintains, records, tracks, and trends data concerning infections and infectious diseases.

Work Experience:
One (1) year experience. - Education:
Registered/Professional Nursing or Epidemiology or Microbiology program or a Master’s degree in Public Health. - Licensure:
Florida State licensure required for Registered Nurse or Clinical Lab Technologist. Licensure not required for Master of Public Health. - Some departments may require BLS certification.
