We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Ultrasound Technician to join our healthcare team in Saranac Lake, NY. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic sonographic examinations using high-frequency sound waves to assist physicians in diagnosing and monitoring medical conditions. This is a 13+ week contract assignment with the possibility of extension based on performance and facility needs.

• Perform high-quality ultrasound procedures in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols.
• Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functioning.
• Evaluate images for clarity, accuracy, and diagnostic value.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers to deliver accurate diagnostic information.
• Maintain patient records and adhere to HIPAA and facility compliance standards.
• Follow all infection control and safety protocols.

• Education:
  
  Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.
• Certification: ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) or ARRT (S) certification required.
• Experience:
  
  Minimum of 1–2 years of recent experience as an Ultrasound Technician in a hospital or clinical setting.
• Licensure:
  Active New York State license (if applicable).
• BLS Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.

10-hour day shifts, 4 days per week (specific schedule may vary)
