Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Therapist in the Trauma Systems Therapy (TST) Outpatient Program, in Lifeline Center's Child & Family Clinic. As a Therapist, you will be responsible for providing individual therapy to children ages 5-18, with trauma histories, and support to their families. You will conduct assessments, create treatment plans, and provide ongoing treatment management. Sessions take place in our clinic in Queens Village, and on occasion in the community(child's school, home, etc.).

Any travel is reimbursed by the agency.

This role uses a treatment model called Trauma Systems Therapy (TST), which focuses on creating emotional and physical safety for the child by increasing their environmental safety (through work with parents and teachers), and learning regulation techniques.

Work Hours are Tuesdays 11AM - 7PM, Wednesdays & Thursdays 10AM - 6PM; and Fridays and Saturdays from 9AM - 5PM. The team is off Sundays and Mondays.

Qualifications

• Working experience as a Therapist
• Thoughtful understanding of trauma, and its effects on the developing brain
• Familiarity with clinical intervention approaches
• Strong assessment and diagnostic skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
• Master's degree in Social Work, or related field, and appropriate licensure (LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, MHC-LP, Psy.
