Respiratory Therapist (Allied Health)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality respiratory care to patients across all age groups, working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer respiratory therapy treatments and manage ventilators and oxygen therapy as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor and evaluate patients’ respiratory status, documenting all care and changes accurately.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations, including Code Blue and Rapid Response events.
  • Perform diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis and pulmonary function testing.
  • Assist in the care of patients requiring mechanical ventilation and other advanced respiratory support.
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory care procedures and home equipment use when necessary.
  • Maintain equipment, ensuring proper function and cleanliness according to hospital and infection control standards.
Qualifications
  • Active Respiratory Therapist License in the state of Georgia (or Compact License if applicable).
  • RRT or CRT certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required (PALS or NRP preferred).
  • Minimum 1–2 years of recent experience in an acute care or hospital setting.
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive hourly pay: $50–$54/hr (W2)
  • Travel and contract extension opportunities available.
