Job Description
At Sit Still Kids Salon, our mission is to provide children and families with positive experiences and consistently high-quality haircuts in a welcoming, inclusive environment. We combine a fun, kid-focused atmosphere with professional salon standards and efficient service.

We are seeking an experienced stylist who is confident working within structured appointment times and committed to delivering technically strong, consistent haircuts for a high-volume clientele.

You will be part of a growing national brand with more than 25 locations across the country.

• Minimum 7 years professional haircutting experience in a salon environment
• Current New York State Cosmetology License required, or an active out-of-state license with the ability to obtain a New York license by endorsement before employment begins
• Strong technical proficiency in: clipper cuts and fades, scissor-over-comb work, long hair shaping and layering, basic bang/fringe shaping
• Ability to confidently complete a haircut within approximately 30 minutes or less
• Ability to communicate clearly with both parents and children
• Professional demeanor and consistent customer service skills
• Reliable attendance and punctuality

• Previous experience in a franchise or structured salon environment (Supercuts, Great Clips, Sports Clips, Sit Still Kids, etc.)
• Experience cutting children's hair
• Experience managing a high-volume service schedule
• Comfort following service procedures and consultation standards

• Perform consultations with parents prior to each service
• Execute haircuts efficiently while maintaining quality and safety
• Check in with the parent during the service when appropriate
• Review the haircut with the parent before completion
• Maintain a welcoming, patient, and professional environment for children
• Follow salon service procedures and sanitation standards
