This candidate for this position is a recent graduate or 1 to 2 years of experience in the salon/beauty industry with a love for curly textured hair. This is an entry-level position with growth opportunities after 8 months plus work and training.

BAR in the new Harlem location. The ideal candidate will be the right-hand assistant or stylist trained by celebrity curl architect and author of the book, Textured Tresses, Diane Da Costa. Must be a trustworthy, committed, hardworking independent thinker.
This part-time/full-time position will offer a chance to work with and train directly with the owner, celebrity stylist and author.
Cosmetology license is a MUST, and must be at least a high school graduate. Must have 1 to 5 plus years of experience in the beauty industry.

- Consult with guests on their hair needs, recommending professional hair care services, products, and accessories.
- Acknowledge and greet all guests and offer friendly, prompt, and courteous service.
- Use product prescriptive sheets to prescribe professional salon products to salon guests.
- Meet or exceed all individual sales and productivity goals.
- Attend all mandatory education events and workshops.
- Assist in store duties (e.g., filling salon retail displays and shelves.)
- Adhere to Simplee
BEAUTIFUL standards for guest service and cleanliness. - Adhere to salon dress code.
- Qualified candidates will be trained.
