Location: New York

The Contractor will provide regulatory advisory and compliance support for the asset, ensuring alignment with all applicable offshore regulatory requirements and serving as a key liaison with the Canada–Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Energy Regulator (C‑NLOER).

Key Responsibilities Regulatory Engagement

Act as the primary point of contact between the Asset Leadership Team and the C‑NLOER.

Participate in monthly C‑NLOER touchpoint meetings and coordinate follow-up actions and deliverables.

Compliance & Approvals

Coordinate preparation, submission, and tracking of regulatory approvals, authorizations, permits, and licenses.

Monitor regulatory requirements and ensure all regulatory deadlines are met.

Regulatory Management Systems

Maintain and update databases with new, revised, or emerging regulatory requirements.

Validate accuracy and completeness of regulatory content for the asset.

Assessments, Audits & Inspections

Coordinate and participate external regulatory assessments, audits, and inspections.

Support development of corrective actions and closure plans and ensure timely, documented closure of deficiencies.

Engage with regulatory authorities and government agencies to resolve compliance issues and clarify expectations.

Qualifications
  • Ability to travel offshore
    , including valid BST and offshore medical.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to collaborate across functions and engage with regulators.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory processes
    , particularly offshore oil and gas regulatory frameworks.
  • Self‑motivation, willingness to learn, attention to detail, and demonstrated leadership in delivering compliance outcomes.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
    , including preparation of regulatory submissions and stakeholder correspondence.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills
    , with the ability to interpret regulatory requirements and assess compliance impacts.
