The Town of Schodack is located in Rensselaer County. The population at the time of the 2020 census was 12,965. The town includes a total area of 63.7 square miles. By area, it is the third largest town in the County. The western town line is the Hudson River and the southern town boundary is the border of Columbia County. The town of East Greenbush is to the north, and the town of Nassau is to the east.
