• The duties of Planning Board members include the review and approval of subdivisions, site plans, or special use applications.
• The board is a volunteer body operating under New York State guidelines, as well as the guidelines provided by the Town of Olive Subdivision Regulations, the Town of Olive Zoning Ordinance, and Olive Environmental Review Regulations.

• The applicant must be a full-time town resident and should have an interest in planning, town code, and site-plan mapping.
• The term of the position is seven years with ongoing training requirements.
