Overview
The Tompkins County Department of Planning and Sustainability in Ithaca, NY is seeking a Fiscal Coordinator to manage federal and state grant funding, reimbursements and budgets while coordinating with the County’s Department of Finance. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented and provide excellent customer service in managing relationships with third party contractors, subrecipients and federal and state representatives. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week).
Responsibilities- Manage federal and state grant funding, reimbursements and budgets.
- Coordinate with the County Department of Finance and cross-departmental accounting tasks.
- Oversee grant management for transit, mobility management and transportation projects.
- Ensure recipients of state and federal funds are reimbursed and grants are administered in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Maintain strong relationships with third party contractors, subrecipients and federal and state representatives.
- Detail-oriented with strong customer service and relationship-management skills.
- Experience in grants, fiscal management, accounting and contracting.
- Ability to work with diverse stakeholders across departments and agencies.

Ithaca, NY - Starting salary: $71,718, with increases to $73,861 on January 1, 2026 and to $77,771 after 9 months in the position.
- Full-time (40 hours per week).
