Location: Village of Hilton
The Hilton Central School District has a vacancy for a 1.0 FTE Custodian with the Buildings & Grounds Department. This is a 12 month, 8hour/day position. The typical hours are between 3:00pm-12:00am, Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week. Rotating weekends and occasional holidays required. Includes generous benefits package, paid time off, and the opportunity to join the NYS Retirement System. This position requires the Civil Service title of Custodian, therefore only those candidates who are currently working in this title or whose name appears on the current Civil Service eligible list or meet minimum qualifications for Provisional Appointment

All Civil Service appointments are subject to a one year probationary period.
Applicants must be reachable on the Monroe County Civil Service eligible list, or currently working in this title in another municipality, or meet the minimum qualifications for provisional appointment*.
Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
Positive fingerprint clearance through the New York State Education Department is required.
* The term provisional means that you will be required to take the next Civil Service examination for this title, and place among the top three (3) candidates on the examination list in order to be eligible for permanent appointment.*
