Portage is currently looking for an individual who is analytical and deeply passionate about Fin Tech to join our team in New York as an Intern on our Go-to-Market Value Creation team. This person will play a pivotal role in supporting our Value Creation Team, which provides marketing and sales support to our portfolio of companies in the form of longer term engagements, workshops, and playbooks.

• Lead and support the creation of original research, thought leadership, and playbooks across specific topics in marketing and sales (e.g. Sales Compensation, Media Measurement & Attribution, etc) for Chief Marketing Officers and Chief Revenue Officers within our venture (~80%) and PE (~20%) portfolio companies.
• Expand our ecosystem by identifying vendors and partners with specific areas of expertise to help support our portfolio companies.
• Act as a thought partner, and support Value Creation with workshops and longer consulting engagements with our Chief Marketing Officers and Chief Revenue Officers where appropriate.
• Assist with event planning, including hosting round tables and planning our annual conference (e.g. program planning, speaker sourcing, guiding discussions, follow up) where we bring together executive management to share best practices.
• Analyze data, visualize data, and write/design decks.

• Strong interest in Venture Capital or Growth Equity, Strategy Consulting, or Financial Services.
• Hustle, Entrepreneurial spirit—This is an operating role, not an investing role, and with a heavy emphasis on Seed through Series D portfolio companies given the makeup of our portfolio.
• Strong academic record.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
