This role will work in our NY Office, which is located at 1185 Avenue of the Americas. During the course of the internship program, we would expect you to spend most of your time in the NY office.

Division SummaryThe New York Finance team encompasses the following core functions:
- Financial Reporting and Control, Management Reporting, Product Control, Tax and Treasury & Capital Management.
The Financial Reporting and Control function is an integral part of the Finance function, responsible for the consolidation, control and reporting of the ICBC Standard NY Holdings consolidated financial results. The reporting team is also responsible for the submission of FOCUS and SIPC reporting under the Finra and NFA compliance. The function reports into the Head of Finance. The key responsibilities of this function are:
- Accouting General Ledger
- Bank Reconciliation
- Accounting Payable
- Various Financial and Tax Reporting
- Projects
The primary purpose of this role is the support of daily general ledger procedure and compliant financial reporting. The ICBCS group results include operations in London.
The role will involve general ledger, tax reporting, month end reporting, and bank reconciliation. Offering diverse experience across all business units and products. The role will suit a highly driven, ambitious individual to join the team that is committed to continuous improvement, contributing to high quality controls, reporting and business partnership.
Key responsibilities- Prepare daily general ledger entries for payroll, bank payments, and prepayment.
- Facilitate monthly benefit reconciliation to SAP entries
- Process expense report on Concur system for purposes of generating file and generate journal entry.
- Perform the monthly process
- Support with regulatory reporting
Strong Microsoft Office knowledge (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) an advantage

- General ledge double booking accounting knowledge an advantage
- Working towards / educated to degree level or equivalent
