The RoleWe are seeking an Assistant Controller / Controller to support and help scale the firm’s accounting and finance infrastructure. Reporting to the CFO/COO, this role will oversee the monthly and quarterly close process, support GAAP financial statement preparation and audits, collaborate with fund administrators on NAV and investor reporting, and manage cash, payables/receivables, regulatory filings, and internal controls. The position will also contribute to budgeting, forecasting, system enhancements, and process improvements to support the firm’s continued growth.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA strongly preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within hedge funds or alternative investments
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, fund accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Experience working with fund administrators and complex investment structures is a plus
