Assistant Controller

This high-growth hedge fund launched in 2025, currently managing ~$11B in AUM with a lean, high-performing team of 10, including developers, back office, and leadership is searching for an Assistant Controller
. This is a unique opportunity to join at an early stage and take ownership of the firm’s operational and finance infrastructure, gaining exposure across accounting, operations, systems, and valuations.

The firm is seeking a high-performing Accounting professional with 5-8 years of Hedge Fund Accounting experience to join their team. Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a high-impact role contributing to accounting, operations, and financial reporting.

• Oversee and review month end NAV processes, daily and monthly P&L estimates, and valuation of complex instruments
• Supervise cash reconciliations, partnership allocations, capital account statements, and investor capital activity
• Oversee performance fee calculations and prepare and review client reporting deliverables
• Ensure timely and accurate regulatory filings
• Maintain internal control framework
• Manage year end audit and tax processes, overseeing external service providers

• 5-8 years of relevant experience across public and private accounting
• Strong technical accounting skills
• Hands on system expertise such as advanced Excel and proficiency with investment platforms
