Accounting & Finance Associate | Alternative Asset Management

New York, NY | Hybrid (4 days in office)

A leading alternative asset management platform is seeking an Accounting & Finance Associate to join its corporate finance team in NYC. This role offers a unique blend of management reporting, financial analysis, and corporate accounting, providing exposure to both the analytical and operational sides of finance within a global investment firm.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone coming out of financial services accounting or Big 4 who wants to expand into finance, reporting, and data-driven analysis while maintaining a strong foundation in accounting.

• Prepare and analyze internal management reporting, including revenue, expense, and AUM analytics
• Support monthly and quarterly close processes alongside the corporate accounting team
• Perform financial analysis on large data sets to support senior management reporting
• Assist with financial statement preparation, account reconciliations, and expense accruals
• Develop and enhance automated reporting and data processes
• Partner with accounting, finance, and operations teams to deliver ad hoc analysis and reporting
• Contribute to special projects, forecasting exercises, and regulatory reporting

• 2–5 years of experience in accounting, audit, or financial reporting
• Big 4 public accounting experience preferred
• CPA strongly preferred
• Financial services or asset management experience is a plus
• Advanced Excel skills and strong data analysis capabilities
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally

Compensation: 120-140k base / 170-190k all in; based on experience
