Financial Controller

We are a growing hospitality group operating multiple restaurant concepts with a strong reputation for quality, hospitality, and innovation. As we continue to expand, we are building a scalable financial infrastructure to support growth across multiple locations.

We are seeking a Controller to lead the accounting function, streamline financial operations, and provide strategic insight to leadership.

The Controller will oversee all financial operations, including accounting, reporting, financial controls, and cash management. This leader will help build a scalable, technology-driven finance organization that supports the continued growth of the business.

The ideal candidate is both hands‑on and strategic
, capable of improving processes, leveraging automation and technology, and leading a lean, high‑performing finance team.

• Prepare accurate monthly financial statements and deliver reports within 5 days of month‑end close
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support executive decision‑making
• Develop weekly dashboards summarizing financial performance, cash flow, and labor trends
• Ensure accuracy of accounting records and compliance with accounting standards

• Lead and manage the accounting and payroll team
• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, and reconciliations
• Implement strong internal controls and accounting policies
• Coordinate with external CPA firm for tax filings and compliance

• Identify opportunities to automate and streamline accounting processes
• Improve system integrations between POS, payroll, and accounting systems
• Optimize financial systems including Toast Restaurant
  365 and ADP
• Standardize accounting procedures across locations

• Manage company cash flow and liquidity
• Oversee banking activity, vendor payments, and payroll accounts
• Support financial modeling for new locations, renovations, and acquisitions

• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team
• Build a lean and efficient finance organization leveraging technology and outsourcing
• Establish clear financial processes, policies, and best practices

We are seeking a finance leader who thrives in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment and has experience building scalable financial operations.

• Assistant Controller, Controller, or senior accounting leader
• Experience in restaurant, hospitality, retail, or multi‑location operations
• Background in companies with $50M+ revenue or scaling environments
• Experience improving month‑end close timelines and financial reporting
• Strong systems orientation and experience with ERP/POS integrations

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 7–12+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience managing accounting teams
• Strong financial reporting and internal control experience
• Advanced Excel and financial systems knowledge
• CPA is a plus but not required
