Accounting Manager; SeriesB

Our client is a fast‑growing Series B tech company in New York City looking to add an Accounting Manager in a newly created role. This is a high‑impact opportunity to own the month‑end close process end‑to‑end in a fast‑paced Net Suite environment while helping build and shape the accounting function from the ground up.

3 DAYS ONSITE IN NYC

• Lead month‑end and year‑end close: journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and timely financial reporting
• Own revenue‑related accounting including billing and revenue recognition for SaaS products
• Manage and mentor an offshore accounting team; build processes and roadmaps to transition and scale work in‑house
• Operate Net Suite for core GL/AP/AR, intercompany, revenue, and reporting workflows
• Design and implement automation and process improvements (RPA, scripts, Net Suite optimizations, Power Query, Power BI) to increase accuracy and efficiency
• Partner cross‑functionally with operations, product, and revenue ops to ensure accounting alignment and clean financials
• Build dashboards and reporting tools to drive insights for finance and business partners
• Maintain strong internal controls and GAAP compliance; support audits and policy documentation

• 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally with exposure to SaaS environments
• Proven experience managing and partnering with offshore teams and leading transition and integration efforts
• Strong technical skills: advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups, macros), Power Query, Power BI; familiarity with automation tools (RPA, Suite Script, Celigo, Workato, etc.)
• Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CPA‑track preferred
• Hands‑on Net Suite experience is a HUGE plus
• Detail‑oriented, process‑driven, collaborative, and comfortable in a fast‑scaling startup environment
