Accounting Manager

Location: South Ozone Park

A leading global hospitality organization is seeking an Accounting Manager to join its finance team in Queens, NY. This role reports to the Director of Financial Accounting and oversees key accounting operations while supporting financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and internal controls across multiple New York properties.

Responsibilities

• Manage core accounting operations including accounts payable, payroll, receivables, treasury, and revenue verification
• Oversee monthly management reporting and support quarterly financial reporting
• Lead the annual budgeting process across operating entities
• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting
• Ensure compliance with New York State gaming regulations, federal reporting requirements, and AML procedures
• Coordinate with external auditors and support audit preparation
• Review federal and state tax filings including corporate and sales/use tax requirements
• Provide financial analysis and insights to senior leadership
• Mentor and supervise accounting staff

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience
• 3+ years in a supervisory capacity
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• CPA or MBA preferred
• Experience managing multi-function accounting operations
• Corporate tax or state tax exposure (sales/use tax, corporate tax) is a plus
