** Payroll Specialist - International Markets in our Manno or London office.
**** Department overview:
** The Payroll Department is part of the MK EMEA Human Resources (HR) team and is responsible for processing payroll in compliance with local tax laws, ensuring timely and accurate payments to employees and third parties (including social security, pension funds, and tax authorities) across 20 European countries.
*
* What You’ll Do:

** The Payroll Specialist is responsible for providing accurate, timely and efficient payroll services for Michael Kors employees. With a strong focus on compliance, the role will ensure that all operational aspects of payroll and related activities are accurate, timely and in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and agreements. This role also serves as backup support within the team.
* Responsible for the payroll process for international markets, ensuring a timely and accurate payment to the employees and 3rd parties (social security, pension and tax authorities).
* Main contact with the external payroll provider, submitting the data for the monthly payroll process, reviewing the preliminary reports and approving the final version of the payslips.
* Request the approval of the net payments to the employee.
* Liaise with treasury team the social security, pension and withholding tax payment.
* Liaise with external stakeholders (health insurances, tax authorities, auditors)
* Provide the accounting team with the journal entry in line with the information processed into the monthly payroll process and the accrual information and follow up in case of payroll reconciliation are needed.
* Direct contact with auditor for statutory financial statement Payroll requests.
* Resolving employee payroll enquiries related to the payroll elements and tax calculations in a professional manner.
* Perform the SOX controls implemented at MK Europe level.
* Prepare and maintain standard and ad hoc reports based on payroll data (including statistic reports and KPIs).
* Follow up on social security and employee’s taxes audit and queries, involving the relevant departments.
* Keep standard operating procedures up to date.
* Collaboration and support in projects
** You’ll Need to Have:
*** Diploma/Degree in HR/Economic educational background.
* Professional qualification with a minimum of 5 years payroll experience.
* Professional knowledge of payroll accounting and labor law, social security, and income tax law.
* Experience of working with a multi-national organization.
* Very good administrative and organizational skills.
* English fluently and preferably another European Language (French or German).
* Good knowledge of Excel.
* Workday knowledge is a plus.
* Accurate way of working, superior attention to detail
* Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
* Service-oriented working method
* Good interpersonal and communication skills.
* Flexible mindset with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
