Position OverviewThe Finance Apprentice role offers structured training and hands‑on experience in accounting and external reporting processes, with a strong focus on process automation and transformation. This 12‑month contractual assignment provides exposure to the dynamic operations of the Amex Finance team.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain automation solutions for data extraction, transformation, and validation.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and potential regulatory reporting issues.
- Create and maintain documentation for automated reporting processes, including system configurations and validation rules.
- Understand system architecture and interlinkages to optimize workflows.
- Collaborate with Finance teams to gather accurate information for reporting requirements.
- Support ongoing projects with tactical assistance.
- Prepare and update standard operating procedures.
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
- Maximum of 11 months of professional experience.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, or other programming languages.
- Experience working with big data queries.
- Familiarity with SDLC, automation tools (RPA, ETL, Machine Learning), and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Basic understanding of finance concepts in a multinational context.
