Ascendo Resources is currently seeking a Senior Accountant for a full-time, hybrid role.
Our client is an established and growing capital advisory firm based in Manhattan, New York. This is a highly visible role within a lean and efficient firm, offering hands‑on exposure to structured real‑estate deals and a clear path to Assistant Controller within 1–2 years.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and execute daily accounting operations
- Supervise AP and billing functions (junior team member oversight)
- Lead month‑end and year‑end close across multiple structured real estate investments
- Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and subledgers
- Ensure proper accounting treatment under accrual and cash basis
- Support audits and coordinate with external tax advisors
- Utilize Quick Books Online (QBO) for financial reporting and data management
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 4+ years of experience (public accounting, tax, fund administration, real estate advisory, or financial services experience welcomed)
- Strong technical accounting foundation
- Quick Books Online experience required
- Experience supporting audits and tax processes preferred
- Real estate accounting exposure is a plus
- $2B+ platform with strong institutional presence
- Direct exposure to CFO and leadership team
- 401(k) match
