The Role ?
At Bloomberg Finance we are committed to providing world‑class support to our business partners by providing insight on business performance, financial oversight and thought leadership.
We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Enterprise Shared Solutions Finance team. As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to deliver a unique blend of financial and operational analysis, financial modeling, reporting and senior management support in a fast‑paced and cutting‑edge business. The ideal candidate will be a self‑starter able to work and handle sensitive company information with discretion.
Responsibilities- Lead the financial reporting, analysis, and planning process as part of the Enterprise Shared Solutions Finance team and manage FP&A requirements in adherence to corporate requirements and processes
- Create and develop detailed financial models and analysis to support various strategic initiatives including market analysis, product launches, and long‑term financial growth plans
- Assist in the preparation of the financial forecasts/targets for the annual operating plans along with monitoring historical revenue and expense trends
- Use data analysis to actively identify new and innovative ways to track business performance, and suggest additional ideas for drivers and removing obstacles in our delivery
- Provide executive level communication (both written and oral) to business heads and product managers on the financial results, performance vs. targets, and insights on key variances on a regular basis, including but not limited to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Client Profitability metrics
- Identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency of existing processes, and propose improvements to streamline the collection, use, and presentation of data
- Oversee resource management, resource allocations and resource related reporting and analysis
- Participate in special project requests directly from the Management Committee and Senior Management
- Liaise with Controllers and other departments to ensure accurate and timely production and distribution of financial statements
- Identify opportunities to drive efficiency in internal processes
- 4+ years of financial experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related fields
- Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to confidently work with data, identifying business trends and be able to create insightful analysis
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks are required
- Flexibility to work in a fast‑moving environment
- Superior Microsoft Excel skills
- Team player with ability to deal with changing priorities
- Experience in financial services or a financial data provider industry a strong plus
- Flexibility to work in an entrepreneurial and fast‑moving environment
- High curiosity level and desire to learn
- Familiarity with the Bloomberg terminal is useful, but not required
- Experience with Enterprise software applications e.g. SAP
- Experience with data applications e.g. Alteryx or Qlik
