Location: New York

Leather stocking Veterinary Group is looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to join our office team. We strive to create a culture where our team enjoys the work we do. We hope to find a candidate who can manage the day-to-day financial operations of the company, including accounts payable and general ledger maintenance. Someone who loves numbers, routine tasks, is confidential in their communication, and is highly organized would be the perfect fit.

Responsibilities:
  • Must be familiar with common accounting procedures and terms.
  • Responsible for filing and retrieving corporate documents accurately.
  • Possess a good working knowledge of Quick Books and Excel and have the ability to learn a practice management system.
  • Should have knowledge of general office procedure.
  • Must be okay with sitting at a desk for long periods of time.
  • Verifying accuracy of incoming vendor invoices and statements.
  • Manage accounts payable. (ACH and EFT Payments)
  • Responsible for timely and accurate data entry.
  • Maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Managing and accurately recording deposits, payments and credit card transactions.
  • Handling vendor inquiries and complaints.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Experience:
  • A minimum of 2 years of Financial Assistant experience is a must.
  • Strong knowledge of Quick Books.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
  • Strong work ethic and team player.
  • High degree of professionalism and the ability to deal with sensitive and confidential material.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills including verbal and written.
