Senior Accountant​/Assistant Manager

Our client is a construction management firm. They seek a Senior Accountant/Assistant Manager to join their Manhattan, NY office.

• Lead recurring month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities for the parent entity
• Manage the consolidation of multiple operating entities, including onboarding newly acquired businesses
• Develop financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards, including statements of financial position, operations, equity, comprehensive income, and cash flows
• Coordinate external audit activities and address related information requests
• Administer the general ledger and trial balance to ensure completeness, accuracy, and appropriate documentation
• Aggregate individual entity results into consolidated financial reporting
• Draft financial statement disclosures and assist with external reporting obligations
• Oversee disbursement cycles to ensure accurate recording and proper accounting treatment
• Strengthen internal control processes and ensure adherence to established accounting policies
• Evaluate technical accounting guidance and implement relevant standards as required
• Support finance transformation initiatives and system optimization efforts
• Produce customized reporting through financial and consolidation systems
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support forecasting, integration efforts, and analytical initiatives
• Establish and refine accounting policies and procedural documentation

• 4+ years of accounting experience
• Big 4 or national public accounting experience required
• Experience supporting public company reporting (10-Q/10-K exposure)
• Strong understanding of GAAP, close processes, and multi-entity environments
