Asset Management Associate – Renewable Energy Infrastructure (Solar & Storage)
A leading global alternative asset manager with one of the most established infrastructure platforms in the market is launching a new distributed generation solar and battery storage vehicle. This is a rare opportunity to join at inception and help build the asset management function from the ground up, backed by a premier institutional brand and deep capital base.
This role sits at the intersection of technical and financial asset management and will play a key part in shaping processes, reporting frameworks, and operational oversight for an expanding renewable portfolio.
What You’ll Do- Oversee operational and financial performance of solar and storage assets
- Monitor production, availability, and performance metrics; review operating reports and quarterly financials
- Manage third party O&M providers and technical asset managers
- Review and interpret key contracts including PPAs, interconnection agreements, ground leases, and O&M agreements
- Update valuation and cash flow models to support quarterly reporting and investment decisions
- Coordinate budgeting, forecasting, audit, and tax processes
- Support due diligence and onboarding of new acquisitions
- Help design and implement asset management processes for a growing platform
- Entrepreneurial build out within an established multi billion dollar infrastructure franchise
- Direct exposure to senior leadership and investment teams
- Dedicated M&A execution team working alongside asset management
- Operationally intensive portfolio with real asset level accountability
- Long term growth potential as the platform scales
- 4+ years of experience in renewable energy asset management, operations, or infrastructure investing
- Strong understanding of solar project operations and equipment
- Ability to interpret engineering reports, performance data, and technical documentation
- Experience with financial modeling and valuation concepts including NPV, IRR, and DCF
- Comfort managing third party vendors and cross functional stakeholders
- Highly analytical with strong communication skills
