Treasury Specialist Role at Mid-sized Foreign Bank

Summary:

Responsible for the effective analysis and management of operational liquidity risks, including management of liquidity cost & central bank account liquidity. Acting as the primary contact for operational liquidity topics and overseeing the funding and administration of commercial paper and yankee CD’s.

• Manage payment operations in main currency/ local currency
• Plan and manage central bank accounts
• Manage central bank intraday liquidity and discount window collateral
• Manage interest rate risk including cross-currency basis within VaR and sensitivity limit framework
• Manage and secure broker and interbank deposits based on a defined funding-policy
• Coordinate the Treasury’s money market presence
• Leadership responsibilities include the oversight and monitoring of junior traders which include positions, mark-to-market, P/L and risk of all books under their control

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics or quantitative methods
• Postgraduate or professional qualification (e.g. ACI) preferred
• 10+ years professional experience gained in a treasury/markets environment (money markets, foreign exchange markets and interest rate and cross currency derivatives)
