The firm is seeking to add an Institutional Sales Representative to its New York office to support public equity offerings and institutional investor coverage.
Position OverviewThe ideal candidate has approximately three or more years of experience in institutional securities sales with demonstrated success covering hedge funds, crossover funds, long-only asset managers, and other institutional investors in connection with:
- Follow-on public offerings
- Registered direct offerings
- PIPE transactions
- ATM programs
- Confidentially marketed public offerings (CMPOs)
- Other equity-linked transactions
A transferable institutional book of business is highly preferred.
This role is suited for a capital markets professional who understands transaction dynamics, allocation strategy, and the execution process for marketed and opportunistic public equity offerings.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities- Maintain and expand relationships with institutional investors (hedge funds, crossover funds, long-only asset managers)
- Market public equity offerings and equity-linked transactions
- Coordinate closely with the firm’s investment banking and capital markets teams during active deal processes
- Participate in investor education, wall-crossing discussions, and allocation strategy
- Support roadshows and investor meetings
- Drive order book development and facilitate execution through closing
- Provide market intelligence and investor feedback to internal deal teams
- Demonstrated relationships with active public market investors
- Experience participating in marketed follow-ons, PIPEs, or registered offerings
- Strong understanding of equity capital markets mechanics and investor behavior
- Analytical, self-motivated, and able to work independently
- Active Series 7 license required
- Healthcare or biotechnology experience beneficial but not required
Compensation is commission-based. A draw against future commissions may be available.
