Head of Wealth Management & Investment Operations

We're looking for a dynamic, analytical leader to lead our investment operations across traditional and alternative platforms. This individual will drive platform development, third-party manager and alternative deal diligence, structuring and execution, trading oversight, research coordination, risk management, and advisor education.

This is a highly visible leadership role supporting ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients and partnering closely with senior leadership, investment committees, and advisors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the selection and implementation of comprehensive investment strategies across public and alternative asset classes
  • Coordinate Investment Committee processes to ensure consistent adoption, monitoring, and evaluation of recommended funds, equities, and third-party managers
  • Promote disciplined execution aligned with firm-wide investment philosophy
  • Lead rigorous investment and operational due diligence for alternative investments and third-party managers
  • Evaluate risk/return profiles, operational infrastructure, and alignment with portfolio objectives
  • Prepare and present detailed performance reporting and strategic insights to leadership and advisors
  • Oversee ongoing operational diligence post-investment
Investment Structuring & Post-Investment Management
  • Coordinate structuring of traditional and alternative investments (funds, asset managers, independent sponsor opportunities)
  • Lead legal and tax structuring efforts in partnership with external counsel and tax advisors
  • Oversee entity formation, accounting and tax reporting, client documentation, capital calls, distributions, and regulatory filings
  • Manage relationships with administrators, diligence consultants, and investment platform providers
  • Identify process improvements and drive operational efficiencies through vendor partnerships
  • Lead and mentor a team of investment professionals
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and operational excellence
  • Ensure adherence to firm trading policies and performance reporting standards
Investment Operations & Process Optimization
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline workflows and implement best practices
  • Enhance operational infrastructure supporting multi-asset portfolios
  • Lead onboarding of new advisors and firms onto the investment platform
  • Oversee asset transitions from legacy or off-platform structures
  • Support advisor education around investment philosophy and portfolio construction
  • Develop and implement robust risk analytics and monitoring frameworks
  • Proactively identify portfolio risks and inefficiencies
  • Partner with Compliance to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal governance
Reporting & Executive Communication
  • Deliver detailed reporting on portfolio performance, investment outlook, new opportunities, and key metrics
  • Present insights to executive leadership, board members, and investment committees
  • Communicate clearly around portfolio positioning, risks, and opportunities
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred (Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Math, or related field)
  • 10+ years of experience in investment operations, investment management, and/or risk management
  • Strong understanding of public and alternative investments, due diligence frameworks, and risk metrics
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams and complex, multi-asset portfolios
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with senior stakeholders and external partners
  • High integrity and professionalism in handling confidential information
  • Proficiency with investment analytics tools (Bloomberg, Morningstar Direct, Excel)
  • Experience with Addepar and/or Arch strongly preferred
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment
