Operations and Middle Office is one of the largest departments global Treasury Operations team is responsible for: cash & collateral management, liquidity & funding, margin, and sources and uses. We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Operations Specialist with a strong technical skillset to partner with our Treasury Technology team to design and build out our proprietary cash management & margin platform, develop data automation solutions, and drive process re-engineering efforts.
To excel in this role, you should possess strong technical skills in data management, coupled with a solid understanding of business processes and workflows. Effective communication, project management, and collaboration skills are also essential.
- Play crucial role in system design & implementation of our proprietary cash management, margin & collateral management platform, including collaborating within the Treasury Operations team to define & document system requirements, performing business process analysis, data analysis, UAT testing, data migrations & reconciliations, producing user interface mockups, and data and process flow diagrams
- Develop data automation solutions, reports, and reconciliations using Alteryx and SQL to support the Treasury Operations team
- Coordinate and collaborate closely with internal teams across Operations, Middle Office, Information Technology, Legal, Compliance, and Finance, as well as external parties, to deliver projects and solutions
- Drive process re-engineering, including documentation, analysis, and presentation of current-state process flows and recommended target state flows
- Perform data analysis to provide business transparency, identify deficiencies and support platform implementations & enhancements
- Strong academic record with Bachelor’s Degree in Technology, Engineering, or Finance
- 3+ years of experience in financial services or financial technology with experience in at least one of the following areas: business analysis, software product management, consulting, data analysis, business intelligence/MIS, project management, Treasury Operations
- Proficiency in preparing data automation, reporting, analysis, and reconciliation using Excel, SQL, and Alteryx or alternative tool
- Self-directed, detail-oriented problem solver with strong technical aptitude and communication skills to coordinate complex projects across multiple teams / functional areas
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong presentation skills for project plans, presentations, data mining, and analysis
- Working knowledge and experience with complex business systems integration as well as object-oriented design patterns and development
- Quick learner with the ability to grasp new concepts and processes quickly
- Working knowledge of financial products is preferred
- Experience with Treasury systems, cash management, SWIFT payment formatting, and margin is a plus
Millennium pays a total compensation package which includes a base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package. The estimated base salary range for this position is $70,000 to $160,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future. When finalizing an offer, we take into consideration an individual’s experience level and the qualifications they bring to the role to formulate a competitive total compensation package
