MONTICELLOAM, LLC and its affiliates (“Monticello”) is a real estate and asset-based lender providing asset management and comprehensive capital solutions for healthcare, multifamily, and commercial real estate assets throughout the US. Responsibilities Accounting & Financial Reporting- Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, AP, AR, payroll, and financial reporting across multiple assisted living communities.
- Prepare and review consolidated GAAP financial statements and ensure timely month‑end and year‑end close.
- Maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls; manage annual audits and external advisors.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis in partnership with leadership.
- Manage and develop accounting staff and partner with operations to support business objectives.
- Oversee cash management, bank accounts, disbursements, and payment controls.
- Ensure timely bank reconciliations, cash forecasting, and funding of payroll and vendor payments.
- Track capital expenditures and support liquidity planning and reporting.
- Lead finance systems strategy, including ERP, AP, payroll, and reporting tools.
- Manage data integrity, system implementations, and migrations, ensuring accuracy, controls, and scalability.
- Drive process improvement, automation, and standardized reporting across communities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a senior management or controller role.
- Experience in property level accounting.
- Prior experience in assisted living, healthcare, multi‑family or multi‑site operations strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Netsuite, Oracle, AVID, Ramp, Sage Intacct, Aline or comparable senior living software) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Familiarity with Kyriba or similar treasury management systems preferred but not required.
- Experience in corporate and fund accountancy preferred but not required.
- Work in the office, as required by office policy.
Monticello offers a competitive base salary and bonus. The base salary range for this position is $120,000-$160,000/year. The specific compensation that will be offered is based on an understanding of the hired candidates' qualifications at the time of hire. Employees are eligible for a discretionary bonus based on employee and company performance reviewed during the annual review process.
