Job Summary
:

Goldman Sachs is a leading global investment banking, securities and investment management firm. They are seeking a Junior Analyst to join the Latin America Economics team to analyze economic data, develop forecasting models, and produce thematic research while collaborating with economists and strategists across various regions.

Responsibilities
:

• Analyze and interpret high-frequency economic data releases

• Develop and maintain databases, forecasting models, and proprietary economic indicators

• Build quantitative tools to forecast economic growth, inflation, and interest rates

• Produce unique, thematic written research and contribute to team publications

• Collaborate with economists and strategists across regions and asset classes

• Work with colleagues in sales and trading and investment banking as well as external clients to answer client and colleague inquiries related to the team’s economic outlook and research

Qualifications
:
Required
:

• 1–3 years of experience in macroeconomic and/or market research, ideally with exposure to investment idea generation

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English;
Spanish/Portuguese proficiency preferred

• Strong quantitative skills with fluency in applied statistics and econometrics

• Deep intellectual curiosity and passion for the intersection of macroeconomics and markets

• Enthusiasm for working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
