Role SummaryAs the Budget and Planning Specialist, you will report directly to the Sr Manager, Budgeting and Planning. In this critical role, you will drive the financial integrity of our commercial investments by leading the consolidation, analysis, and control of Gross-to-Net (GTN) and Advertising funds. You will act as a strategic financial partner to Marketing and Customer Development teams, ensuring monthly GTN deductions is optimized for business growth.
This is an exciting opportunity to own the end-to-end budget process in a fast-paced environment while supervising outsourced operations to ensure excellence in trade claim settlements.
- Lead the GTN and Advertising Budget/Latest Estimate (LE) process, ensuring accurate forecasting and alignment with overall business priorities.
- Drive financial control and accountability by performing regular reviews of open budgets and accruals, working closely with Marketing, Customer Development, and Advertising agencies.
- Own the consolidation and analysis of commercial investment reports, providing actionable insights to senior leadership to guide strategic investment decisions with focus on SOV and SOI targets.
- Ensure the timely and accurate settlement of distributor and direct trade claims with help of outsourced resource.
- Partner with key stakeholders, including Marketing and Finance teams, to manage commercial investment funds and ensure compliance with internal financial controls.
- Support evolving business needs including business transformation, scenario planning and variance analysis.
- Long term aspiration for this role should be managing the end to end brand growth plan and laser sharp focus on working with commercial teams with small sub categories to begin with.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or business-related course;
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred, but not required. - At least 2 years of experience in FP&A, Audit, Credit or a related financial control function.
